What is RSS and How Do I View Content?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it makes keeping up with news, discounts, entertainment and business, really simple. RSS Feeds use a technology called XML to deliver headlines and summaries to your desktop or Web browser.
Say you read a couple of business newsletters weekly or when they get delivered to your email inbox like Black Enterprise, CNN and the Wall Street Journal everyday. You have to go to each of the websites each day and do your thing, right? Well, if those sites offer an RSS Feed then you can have their content or articles sent directly to your computer. No more going through multiple websites, it's all delivered to you in an RSS Reader right on your computer or to your web based reader. Whichever, you prefer.
RSS Links are usually indicated by a bright orange or red box with XML or RSS written on it. If you click an RSS link but do not have a compatible reader installed, you will see XML code in your browser. To view the headlines, paste the feed address into an RSS news reader or use a browser which supports RSS feeds (I have a suggested list below of desktop and online readers).

Why Should I Subscribe to an RSS Feed, How Does It Benefit Me?
There are great reasons why you should begin to use RSS Feeds to view the content you like. Here are some of the top benefits of Really Simple Syndication (Rok Hrastnik author of Unleash the Marketing & Publishing Power of RSS, acclaimed as the best and most comprehensive guide to RSS for marketers by leading RSS experts says it best).
RSS Empowers You! The one thing all of these RSS-based or RSS-empowered services have in common is that they empower you by getting the content that matters to you delivered directly to your desktop or online content aggregators, while still giving you the power to unsubscribe within moments of not being satisfied with the content you're receiving. Even more so, these services empower you to create social networks and easily share information with your friends, family and associates on a large scale.
Specifically RSS Feeds offers you:
--> a unified one-stop-shop to consume online content, without having to visit dozens of sites every day to see what's new and without having your online subscriptions interfere with your personal and business e-mail communications;
--> complete control over your content consumption, including a quick, easy and reliable mechanism to unsubscribe from content you do not wish to receive; And what's so great about an RSS Feed is you don't have to deal with any sp@m, you only get the content you ASK for!
--> the ability to receive breaking news as it becomes available, without having to wait for a monthly, weekly or daily recap sent to your e-mail addresses;
--> the certainty of actually receiving the content you want, without the fear of it being stopped by sp@m filters on the way;
--> the ability to receive rich-media content directly to your desktop, including audio and video content;
--> the promise of providing the tools to make your life easier, including receiving critical content updates as soon as they become available
