“This year I’m really going to do it! No, seriously!”
~your friends roll their eyes, smirk, and turn back to what they were doing~
Has this happened to you? Don’t worry, many of us can relate. Can you? We wake up with that big smile on our faces on January 1 st...feeling inspired, encouraged, excited about the prosperous new year ahead .…and for some maybe still woozy from the night before:) However, we went down this road in 2005, did we not? Maybe we started off like a high speed train and by the end of March we all but died down to a hooptie barely making it on a quarter tank of gas and a dragging muffler.
How come there are some people who set goals each year and actually reach them; some people who just set goals and stare at them; and finally those that just sit there and collect dust, just floating by? Plain and simple, the difference is between “the haves” and “have nots.” What team do you want to be on this year? ~nodding proudly~ Good answer…well, I’m sure you said the “Have’s Team!” LOL
If you need someone or something to help ignite that fire when you can’t spark a flame…The Gots To Have It team put together a list of encouraging resources that will inspire you in various areas of your life and business.
Enjoy!

Kena Custage – www.infinitehealthnow.com
1. Tell me a little about yourself?
I am a former professional ballerina, now DJ/Producer/House music record label owner, and I also have an amazing practice in Holistic Nutrition Therapy, Reiki Energy Work, Osho Breath Therapy, Osho Active Meditation Coach, and Psychotherapy. I was born in Guatemala, and I am half Eastern European via New York, and half Latin American via El Salvador. I have lived in eight countries and seven states. |
|
2. How did you discover your passion?
During my first passion and career as a ballerina, I started studying psychotherapy and nutrition as ways of staying fit, strong mentally/emotionally/spiritually/physically, and on top of my game as an athlete.
3. What do most of your clients request?
They request coaching on becoming clearly focused on their goals in all areas of life, and on understanding their instincts and needs when it comes to optimum health, awareness, and joy of living. They request support in healing from illnesses, in learning how to eat whole foods, in learning how to transform into radiant, positive, energetic, positive beings.
4. What changes do you see in your clients after you've worked with them (if any)?
When clients commit to a three or six-month program with me they absolutely transform and become higher versions of themselves than they would have if there had been no intervention. Individual results are of course based on what they are dealing with in their lives, but no matter what, they are always left at the end of the program with a deeper sense of self-awareness, self-expression, a healthier body, mind, and spirit. As a result, their life works in a balanced and synergistic manner.
5. What have been your major obstacles and how did you overcome them?
Learning to market myself well! Thanks to working with Simone Kelly-Brown in her eight-week business coaching program, and working with Lena West of www.Xynomedia.com. I have learned how to market my practice and services through my website. Along the way I have also learned that what I have to offer is very valuable, and therefore I am not shy to share with people what I know. It would be selfish of me not to impart information that can transform a person's life for the better, and it is my goal on this planet to be of service to others. For that reason I now market myself and encourage clients to sign on for my programs and refer their friends. There is no greater gift than feeling good and being in an optimum state of health!
6. Do you utilize your own techniques for yourself?
Absolutely! I practice what I preach with integrity. I walk the talk. I am a living example of what whole foods, meditation, and full self-expression can do for a human being. I eat only natural foods and mostly raw organic produce, I meditate daily, I go to dance classes three times a week, and I make sure to be a witness to my mind and emotions, and re-program thoughts and feelings when needed so as to serve my highest good and that of others. I am on a path of self-awareness and personal growth, and so this is why I can share this work with others.

Referrals...Ask and You Shall Receive By Rina Pineda
In any business we are in, referrals are the key to success. Referrals allow for clients that have few objections. This is because quality referrals result from a level of trust. A customer who is happy with and trusts your product and process will refer friends and acquaintances. The struggle many of us face is in obtaining a consistent stream of referrals from satisfied clients. Often, the problem lies in simply not asking for referrals. Many otherwise confident business professionals turn shy and full of fear when faced with the prospect of asking for a referral. Fortunately, there are many steps one can take to obtain more referrals.
1. Ask! Satisfied clients are often more than happy to recommend your services to their family and friends. Many service professionals rationalize that their client will think poorly of them for asking for referrals. Yet, we never know what our clients are thinking. Perhaps they already have people in mind for you, but since they were not asked, they don’t provide the names. The lesson? Always ask.
2. When asking for referrals, make sure you are referable. Do what you say you are going to do: be on time, be consistent, honest, and ethical. Clients who trust you will be a wonderful source for referrals because they can’t wait to tell their families and friends about you.
3. After you have asked for referrals, help your clients identify ideal prospects for your service. Tell them what you look for in an ideal client. Share your list of criteria with your client. This serves two purposes. It will eliminate undesirable prospects your client had in mind for your service and will concentrate your clients’ focus on the type of person you are looking to meet. Perhaps, someone they’ve never even considered would be an ideal prospect for you.
4. Follow up with referrals your clients give you. Clients are interested in seeing if their friends valued your service as much as they did. When your clients are thanked by their referrals for having met you, they feel good about referring their friends to you. Positive feedback motivates them to provide more referrals.
Following these steps will result in better referrals. In turn, your business will enjoy greater success than it has ever experienced.
